Art
Exhibition Opening: Kent Ambler,
Printmaker Kent Ambler
will present a selection of woodcuts
which showcase his expressive style and
his connection to nature. About his
work, Kent states, “While the imagery in
my art is generally subject or object
oriented, the visual appearance of each
piece is of most importance to me. I
work from an aesthetic
and intuitive
approach rather than a conceptual one.”
Kent Ambler brings refreshing
spontaneity to the historically, process
oriented technique of woodblock relief
printing. Through his formal approach
and intuitive execution Mr. Ambler’s
work reaches beyond the surface of
representation and explores his deeper
concerns for nature. The exhibit will
remain open until October 12, 2007.
