For more many years, the NGU
Baptist Student Union has been a national leader in mission
involvement among
all colleges and universities in the nation. Weekly meetings
involve students in worship and fellowship. Ministry opportunities
include Impact Teams (who minister through churches and share in
community missions). Act II (the BSU touring drama troupe), the BSU
Choir and Praise Band, and Joyful Sound (three vocal teams and a
band of students who
minister through Christian music). |

Athletic Ministries
The mission of
Athletic Ministries is to build godly and moral character in our student
athletes and coaches. Our goals are 1) that every athlete would know
Christ as their Lord and Savior, 2) that every athlete would graduate, and
3) that every athlete would be a winner both on and off the field.
Athletes are exposed to the gospel of Christ,
encouraged to grow in their relationships with Christ, and
equipped and mobilize for service both on and off campus.
Athletic Ministries meets each Friday at 10:00 a.m. in
Turner Chapel
throughout each academic semester.

Prayer
Prayer is at the heart
of every ministry (2 Chronicles 7:14). Through prayer Christians are
called to humility, repentance, faith, and restoration. The key to God’s peace is found in
taking everything to Him in prayer. Through the ministry of our
Interns, students are called to prayer and
to providing prayer support for our ministry efforts.

Evangelism
Reaching others with the gospel of
Christ is one part of the Great Commission. Jesus said that His mission was
to "seek and to save that which was lost" (Luke 19:10). He has
entrusted those who know Him with the responsibility of sharing good news of
salvation with others. Through our eight campus ministry interns
and fifty chaplains, we seek to lead and train students to share Christ with others both on and off
campus. |

Brothers and Sisters Fellowship
As a sister
organization of the
Baptist Student Union, the Brothers and Sisters Fellowship encourages
students in their Christian growth, unity,
and fellowship and provides opportunities to engage students in missions
through a Gospel Choir.

Discipleship
New Christians need to
grow spiritually, but like newborn children, they don’t know what they
need. Believers need to find mentors and be mentors for others in the
faith. Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 2:2, “And the things you have heard me say
in the presence of many witnesses, entrust to the faithful who will also be
qualified to teach others.” The Campus Ministry Intern Team and
chaplains
coordinates this ministry. |
Bible Studies
Bible Study groups are
designed to build fellowship among participants and to challenge believers
to spiritual growth. A wide variety of study groups are offered to meet the
various needs of students. These groups are coordinated by the Campus
Ministry Intern Team. |

Reaching New Students
The first few weeks on campus are foundational for every student.
During this time students are choosing who will be their most trusted
friends as well as making decisions which will literally impact the rest of
their lives. Campus Ministry seeks to encourage new students to
connect with the body of Christ on campus through small group Bible studies
focusing on prayer support, fellowship, and accountability. The Campus
Ministry Intern Team leads these ministry efforts. |

Leadership Development
Part of the mission of our institution is to develop leaders who will
influence the world for Jesus Christ. While the need for spiritual
leadership is essential for churches and other ministries, spiritual leaders
are needed in every vocation. Campus ministry seeks to enlist, train,
and develop spiritual leaders through small groups, conferences, and
workshops. The Campus Ministry Intern Team coordinates this important ministry. |
